Join us as we celebrate the release of our 2020 McGrail Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, our 16th edition! McGrail Vineyards started with one wine, our Cabernet Reserve. Jim McGrail wanted to make one thing right before he started making anything else, so McGrail opened in 2008 with our 2005 McGrail Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. The rest is history!

Drop by McGrail anytime between 11:00am-4:00pm on Sunday, September 22nd. Tickets to this event include walk-up tastings of our delicious 2020 McGrail Vineyards Cabernet Reserve & a few other powerhouse Cabernets.

This event will be held on our Front Lawn. Walk-up wine tastings will be poured by the McGrail team on the Front Lawn, food trucks will be on site with food for purchase, and we will have live music on our Front Lawn Stage. Please note that our Front Lawn is an open grass area and does not include tables, chairs, or shade. As such, we kindly ask that you bring along blankets and chairs to make your experience even more delightful! Our Arbor Cabanas, Panoramic Patio, and Barrel Room will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Renowned wine authority and Vinous critic Antonio Galloni will host the Master Class, featuring a curated selection of wines made from celebrated Moon Mountain District sites, presented by the winemakers and winegrowers, followed by a private vineyard tour of either Monte Rosso Vineyard or Moon Mountain Vineyard. The Grand Tasting will include a wider offering of small-production wines from more than two dozen of the Association’s member wineries paired with exquisite bites.

An unparalleled opportunity to connect with the owners and winemakers of the Stags Leap District, Vineyard to Vintner provides backstage access to 15 renowned wineries, exceptional vineyards, famed Cabernet Sauvignons, and breathtaking scenery. A celebration of the people and wines of the area, the annual event includes intimate vintner-hosted dinners, vineyard walks and seminars, and a wide range of tastings from coveted library wines to new releases, including the exclusive chance to taste a barrel sample of the 2022 Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon: A Collaboration.
