Sycamore Mineral Springs

Short of running away from home for that much needed vacay, there’s an enjoyable and less permanent alternative for capturing “me” time before the holiday season descends upon us. At Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa, anyone can steal away a couple of hours for a rejuvenating soak or spa treatments or to simply linger for days in the Central Coast Shangri-La resort to enjoy all that it offers.

Tranquil Waters
Sanctuary is the keyword at Sycamore Springs, where naturally occurring springs have rejuvenated many for decades on the Central Coast. All throughout the grounds, the focus is on serenity. Choose from 23 open-air hillside tubs shaded by trees that accommodate up to eight people ($15-$20 per person by the hour) or the Oasis Waterfall Lagoon with peaceful waterfalls that can comfortably fit up to 20 people. Reservations for the Oasis are required for the hourly rental of $20 per person (minimum four people Monday through Thursday and six people Friday through Sunday.) Upon arriving, ask about their Hot Tub Pass Cards, which offer savings for repeat customers.

Spa Treatments and Packages
Everything from massage, to body and facial treatments, to combination spa packages are available. Whether guests prefer a traditional Swedish massage or Deep Tissue Massage, hydrating pear Sugar Scrub and Detox Body Brushing & Blueberry Scrub treatments are part of the amenities.

Massage treatment options include complimentary 30-minute hot tub soaks and offer everything from stone massage, mother-to-be massages, hand, foot, and scalp massages, couples’ massages and more.

An array of combination packages is also available. One popular choice is the Day Away Package ($150-170/pp), which offers yoga, Pilates or tai chi, a hot tub soak, spa treatment, and a delicious brunch at the Gardens of Avila Restaurant. The Oasis Group Escape Package is makes for a memorable option for four or more guests.
When reserving spa services, ask about their Active Military Discounts.

Lodging Option
Spa Suites each have privately-accessed hot tubs. They are available in one-bedroom queen or king bed floorplans with views of either the West Meadows or picturesque Avila Valley vistas from which to soak tired bodies. The newly renovated Junior Suite is the perfect pick for entertaining visiting family and friends and features a fireplace, master bedroom and a second bedroom. The 600-square-foot, two-bedroom Spa Suite with queen beds opens to a large balcony with hillside views and a fireplace. At 1,800 square feet, the two-story Guesthouse features three bedrooms, three baths and two hot tubs – perfect for retreats, bridal parties and family reunions.

Gardens of Avila Restaurant
On the Central Coast, farm-to-table cuisine is a must and Gardens of Avila brings it in both indoor and outdoor intimate dinners. Right on the grounds, a one-acre Chef’s Garden provides an assortment of ingredients for the kitchen to serve in season.

Inside the Lounge, guests can cozy up to either the stone fireplace, mahogany bar or outdoor terrace to enjoy everything from appetizers to full-course meals, cocktails and local, award-winning wines. There’s are even Happy Hour discounts, a marvelous Sunday Brunch, full-scale banquets with options to choose from upon request and intimate garden wedding and reception sites.
