Napa Valley Wine Train’s Murder Mystery Tour
Exciting Themes for 2021

The Napa Valley Wine Train, a memorable experience that echoes the glory days of train travel, has announced the 2021 lineup for its popular Murder Mystery Tour in partnership with The Murder Mystery Company, the largest theatrical company in the U.S.  Available on select dates each month from August through October, this year’s Murder Mystery Tour features multiple themes and encourages passengers to get creative with their clothing and clue-solving skills, whether they are time traveling to the 1920s with the “Crime and Punishment” and “Death of a Gangster” experiences or feeling magic in the air on the “Wizards and Witches” tour.
“This engaging, interactive experience is the perfect excursion for first-time riders and returning guests alike who are seeking a unique activity to indulge in with family and friends,” said Nathan Davis, general manager of the Napa Valley Wine Train.  “Passengers can be detectives for an evening all while enjoying a delicious meal aboard our beautifully restored train.”

Murder Mystery Tour Dates:
•  August 19 – Death of a Gangster
•  September 9 – Crime and Punishment
•  September 23 – Death of a Gangster
•  October 2 – Wizards and Witches
•  October 9 – Wizards and Witches
•  October 16 – Wizards and Witches

While aboard the historic train, guests will solve a murder on the two-hour journey and be served a multi-course gourmet dinner from the train’s expert culinary team as they enjoy sweeping views of the sunset and passing vineyards.  The “Crime and Punishment” experience, the tour’s original storyline, will take place in the U.S.’s prohibition era and features 1920s mobsters, jealous lovers, a rival Mafioso, and a pair of undercover federal agents.  The roaring ’20s will return on “Death of a Gangster,” which welcomes tassel skirts, pinstripe suits, feather boas, and sequin headbands.  On the “Wizards and Witches” tour, witch hats and wizard robes are encouraged.
The Napa Valley Wine Train has introduced new safety measures for team members and passengers. Actors will maintain the appropriate six feet from guests and wear clear face shields for the performance when necessary.  Also, any materials used will have been sanitized before the show.
Check-in for the Murder Mystery Tour begins at 5:30 p.m., and everyone is encouraged to arrive by 5:45 p.m. to enjoy the entertainment in the train station. Passengers will board at 5:50 p.m., depart at 6:20 p.m., and return to the station at 8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $405 per person.
