“The new Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve Room has been designed to convey a respect for the past with a vision toward the future.”
– Michael Guthrie, AIA, MG&Co. Architects, San Francisco

Beaulieu Vineyard Unveils New Reserve Room

The Beaulieu Vineyard Visitor Center has just unveiled a wonderful new tasting venue for their valued guests and members.  They have been undergoing an extensive major remodel of their Reserve Room facility and now welcomes visitors.
The project has been in conception for over three years but took firm hold when construction commenced in September 2004. Michael Guthrie, the project architect, understood the importance of regarding Beaulieu’s rich historical past along with creating a new experience that embraces the future of the winery’s Reserve Tier wines.  The space and design retain the four original stone walls that provide the structural and spiritual integrity of the Reserve Tasting Room.  The space has been completely re-worked to showcase the award-winning Beaulieu Reserve wine collection in a beautiful and consumer-friendly atmosphere that emphasizes the elements that have made the wines among the most collected California Cabernets since the early 1900’s.
The new Reserve Room offers tasting daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week (with the exception of major holidays). The Reserve Tasting flight includes four current vintage Reserve wines – Carneros Reserve Chardonnay, Carneros Reserve Pinot Noir, Dulcet Reserve and Georges de LaTour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon for a tasting fee of $20. In addition, they have added a lovely Mahogany-lined Older Vintage Room that has a daily tasting selection of an Older Vintage Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon for a $10 fee.
The Beaulieu Vineyard Wine Society and Corps de Latour wine clubs have a lovely new room to enjoy their privileges as a member. The Private Members Room features a glass-topped table that displays an historical retrospective of the Beaulieu wines through the years. Another incredible element is the addition of original iconic photography by well-known photographer, Terry Heffernan.
The main Reserve Tasting area is light-filled, sophisticated and comfortable. Renowned artist, Thomas Stiltz has created customized paintings that feature the Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and the Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon.
Beaulieu Vineyard looks forward to hosting its guests in the gracious and knowledgeable manner that they have become recognized for. They are eager to share their new home and the vision that is the future of Beaulieu.
Beaulieu Vineyard is located at 1960
St. Helena Highway in Rutherford, open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
