Voted a Gold Medal recipient of the Best Spa/Resort in the North Bay in 2006, the Calistoga Oasis Spa has worked with a renowned essential oil expert this summer to create two extraordinary spa treatments, one for women and one for men, available through August 31. The summer treatments are very popular. In the first five days they were offered, the spa saw more people booking the summer specials than any other specialty service in 2006.
Guests for both treatments are served a refreshing sparkling Italian grapefruit spritzer to hydrate the body when they first arrive. For women the treatment is Sun Goddess. It is designed to warm the body, then cool, refresh and rejuvenate for more summer fun. Submersion in the healing warmth of the spa’s proprietary mud bath blend is the first experience. After a quick shower, further relaxation is achieved with a mineral bath containing a blend of Rosewood and May Chang (the oil of angels) essential oils. The two oils work to assist the body and mind in achieving total relaxation and a feeling of being soothed and nurtured in the heavenly waters. Spa attendants bring cool cloths for the head, and lemon cucumber water to sip during the bath experiences. Following the mineral bath is a 55-minute tropical and citrus massage with the Calistoga Oasis Spa’s signature summer blend created to uplift, refresh and stimulate spirits.
