When Vintner’s Collective Managing Partner, Garret Murphy – a friendly, former Parisian with an eye for design and that quick, dry wit for which the French are famous – came to Napa Valley, it was food and wine that attracted him. As a consultant, he made a difference for restaurants throughout the valley, including notables Auberge du Soleil and Meadowood Resort, and along the way collected artisan winemakers like marbles and put them in his pocket for safekeeping.
Five years ago, the opening of Vintner’s Collective at 1245 Main Street in the historically rich Pfeiffer building, on a street about to boom, put Garret’s marbles all in one place.
