Spring Art Show at
Woodbridge Winery, March 14-16
Lodi Community Art Center will be putting on their Spring Art Annual this year at the Woodbridge Winery, 5850 Woodbridge Road in Woodbridge. This show is always one of the best attended, most widely represented art shows in the region. Artists from all over Northern California and the Central Valley exhibit their best work in this show. It is free to the public and all the artwork is for sale. This show is a juried show with prizes and ribbons awarded. There is usually an exciting raffle with lots of prizes to win. All the money that is collected from the raffle as well as 35% of any art purchases are tax exempt as donations to the non-profit organization. This show is the main fund raiser for the Lodi Community Art Center.
The night before the show begins, there is an “Invitation Only” preview night on Friday, March 14. This is a unique opportunity to get a “first look” at all the artwork as well as meet the artists. Tickets will be on sale soon for this prestigious event. There will be food and music to accompany viewing the artwork and socializing with the artists.
The art shows on Saturday and Sunday, March 15 and 16, are free to the public from noon to 5 p.m. The awards ceremony is usually about 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The Lodi Community Art Center has been the local all volunteer art organization since 1930 in the city of Lodi. The organization has had galleries in many different places; Hutchins Street Square, Lakewood Mall, Vino Piazza Winery, and most recently on Church Street. The organization lost that gallery late in 2007 and has been searching for a home since then.
