Gloria Ferrer Hosts Exhibit by Vicki Daniel
The power, mystery and perfection of the female form is the inspiration behind northern California artist Vicki Daniel’s Women Series collection, on display in the Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves tasting room from April 3 to 30, 2006. Visitors are invited to discover Daniel’s riveting collection, while enjoying the sparkling and still wines of Gloria Ferrer.
Daniel, whose work has appeared in exhibitions throughout the greater Bay Area, uses a method of acrylic paint with strong colors, tremendous texture and multiple layers through which words and symbols appear to be simultaneously revealed and obscured.
“The creative process and artistic expression are transformative for me,” says Daniel. “Memories, dreams, desire, passion, emotions and movement influence my art. I often begin a piece with the title and from there it evolves.”
Gloria Ferrer invites visitors to explore the evolution during the month of April. The winery is located at 23555 Carneros Highway 121, Sonoma. Tasting room hours are 10 a.m. to p.m. daily. For more information, contact Hospitality Director Tom Scott at (707) 933-1931.
