Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves Celebrates
Spanish Heritage at Annual Catalan Festival

Each year, to commemorate the opening of the winery in July 1986, Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves, the Spanish-owned sparkling wine house in Sonoma County, celebrates the culture of the Catalonia region of Spain, famous for its refined foods, vibrant music and colorful dancing.
This year’s Catalán Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, July 23rd and 24th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves, located at 23555 Carneros Highway (Hwy. 121) in Sonoma, California.
Guests will savor the award-winning sparkling and still wines of Gloria Ferrer, feast on cuisine of the Mediterranean and revel in the strains of Spanish guitar and the glories of Sardana and Flamenco dancing. The festival also features the Gegants de Mataro – 15-foot-tall puppets of the King and Queen of Spain – a tradition at Catalonian festivals since the 16th century, cooking demonstrations, Catalán cookware, Spanish gift items and more.
Cost is $40 per person; $35 under 21 if purchased in advance ($45 at the door). Children under 5 are free. Admission includes a commemorative champagne flute, four food sample tickets and two wine tokens. Additional sample tickets may be purchased at the festival.
For more information, call (707) 933-1999 for tickets or purchase them on-line at www.gloriaferrer.com. Event is likely to sell out.  Advance purchase is highly recommended!
