Words hardly do justice to St. Clement Vineyards and Tasting Room.  Set high above the Napa Valley floor in an 1870s Victorian house, St. Clement is at once regal and inviting.

St. Clement Vineyards was a private residence until 30 years ago when it became a winery dedicated to producing world-class wines.

The home itself was built in 1878 and is a remarkable piece of California Victorian architecture. Think period-appropriate paint, decor and details like carved arrows in the eaves to ward off evil spirits!

Today, the St. Clement Tasting Room respects the history of the building and welcomes guests to taste a $20 flight of four St. Clement wines (whites and red).  You may also select the Single Vineyard Tasting for $25.  This exclusive tasting includes your choice of four of the limited-production, single-vineyard wines – appointment recommended.

St. Clement Vineyards nurtures long-term relationships with some of the best grape growers in Napa Valley.  Instead of owning its own acreage, St. Clement produces wine with the best quality grapes sourced from diverse AVAs such as Howell Mountain, Mount Vedeer, Rutherford and Spring Mountain.

More than 33 different soil series and 100 different soil variations are represented in St. Clement wines. Winemaker Danielle Cyrot is able to take these exceptional grapes and produce St. Clement wines with extraordinary depth and complexity.

Only at the Winery!
St. Clement produces 13 wines, but only five of them are in distribution.  The remaining eight are secret little gems that you can only find in the tasting room.

Don’t Miss:
Oroppas Cabernet Sauvignon, a unique wine of Cabernet with a splash of Merlot, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc, is a Bordeaux blend from four distinct Napa mountain vineyards. Produced since 1991, Oroppas never rates below 90 points, including the current 2007 Oroppas  and it’s a steal at $55 per bottle!

Varietals
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay

A Bit of Recent History
In 1976, local doctor William Casey purchased the historic property and launched the St. Clement’s wine label.  The cross of “St. Clement” was a tribute to Casey’s ancestors who helped to found the state of Maryland.

About:

The goal of St Clement Vineyards has always been to produce small quantities of noble wines in the tradition of the classic European wine estate; wines which consistently reflect the unique and enduring characteristics of soil and climate.
