J. Lohr Vineyards &  Wines has been instrumental in both advancing the Central Coast winegrowing region and putting Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon on the wine world map.  After much success with production in Monterey County’s Arroyo Seco, Jerry Lohr planted 2,000 acres of wine grapes in Paso Robles in 1988. Today, all of J. Lohr’s red wines are produced at its winery located on Airport Road.

J. Lohr’s wines are distributed in more than 30 countries worldwide, but one would never guess by the quaint charm of its Paso Robles Wine Center. There, visitors can taste and shop daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The tasting room, which is surrounded by J. Lohr’s lush “home ranch” Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, offers samples of J. Lohr’s signature series at a large, angular granite tasting bar bordered on three sides by a variety of thoughtful, eye-catching apparel and merchandise.

Select J. Lohr wines are accessible only within the wine center. J. Lohr’s Gesture series includes Rhône varietals and blends, including Zinfandel. The J. Lohr Cuvée Series features three Bordeaux-inspired blends which pay homage to the Grand Cru Chateaux from Pauillac, St. Emilion and Pomerol. Serving these wines are some of Paso’s finest in hospitality, individuals who are always warm, friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable.

 J. Lohr Paso Robles is a Certified California Sustainable Vineyard & Winery.  A three-acre, state-of-the-art, 756-kilowatt solar photovoltaic (PV) tracking system offsets more than 75% of the winery’s energy use.
