Located just 10 miles outside of Los Olivos and couple miles from the 101, Zaca Mesa offers a rural and serene setting, perfect for a quiet day spent in wine country. As you drive along the picturesque Foxen Canyon Road and turn into Zaca Mesa’s driveway, you’ll see that you could easily spend a day sampling wines and playing games in their courtyard.

Zaca Mesa’s tasting room is set overlooking the scenic San Rafael Mountains. Inside you will be greeted by their friendly and educated staff who immediately make you feel a part of the Zaca Mesa family. You will have the opportunity to choose from two flights of wine, both featuring multiple of their 90+ estate-grown wines. Zaca Mesa specializes in Rhône varietals, most notably Syrahs, as they are home to the oldest block of Syrah on the central coast.
In addition to wine tasting, Zaca Mesa offers two different options for you to get a behind-the-scenes look at the winemaking process. You can experience their 715 acre estate on a Vineyard Experience tour, which includes a tour the vineyard, winemaking facility, and a picnic lunch. 2014 Estrella Syrah, which received 92 points from Wine& Spirits, 91 points from Antonio Galloni and 91 points from Wine Enthusiast
2014 Black Bear Block Syrah, which received 93 points from Wine Enthusiast’s Editor’s Choice

Zaca Mesa is celebrating their 45th Anniversary this year. As a family-owned estate property with historic roots in Santa Barbara’s wine country, Zaca Mesa Winery & Vineyards has proudly produced hand-crafted, Rhône-style wines since 1973.
Events at Zaca Mesa
You won’t want to miss their annual dog walk in the vineyard on May 5th –Tacos & Tails. Bring along your dogs and accompany Zaca Mesa’s Winemaker on a walking tour of the vineyards. Experience the beautiful views of the surrounding area while learning about their estate grown wines. Afterwards, go back to the winery and enjoy the afternoon with a glass of wine and a catered taco lunch. Tickets for the event are $40 for club members and $50 for the public.
On April 14th, Zaca Mesa is hosting A Night in the French Quarter. It will be a Cajun inspired night of food, wine, and live music. Tickets are $25 Club and $35 Non-Club.
