The Tasting House at Winery Sixteen 600 is located just one block from the Sonoma Plaza and features a fine selection of Rhone varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel in a classic, yet fun and eclectic Sonoma farmhouse dating back to 1896. Inside, the décor is steam punk and retro, warm and welcoming where red velvet theatre seats wait in the living room for wine guests wanting an intimate sit-down experience.
Phil Coturri, owner of Winery Sixteen 600 is named The Guru of Green for his vision of wine from the vineyard to the glass. Thirty-five years ago, Phil Coturri set out to show that organic grapes make better wines. Organic farming, not only allows the terroir of single vineyard lots to stand out, but also provides health and environmental benefits to wine lovers around the world. The grapes used for Winery Sixteen 600 are certified organic or biodynamic. The result is ripe, vibrant flavors, rich, full-bodied wines that allow the vineyards and varietals to shine.
Tastings for small groups require a reservation and are comprised of five-six Rhone varietals and Zinfandels. Come on in and relax a while, you’ll be glad you did.
