Lakeside Wine Festival Returns to Atascadero Take one part beautiful lake park, two parts great music and food and 80 parts Central Coast wines, mix them all together, and you get the 17th Annual Atascadero Lakeside Wine Festival scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 23rd at Atascadero Lake Park. The festival is a benefit for the Charles Paddock Zoo and other local community projects.
“Over the last 16 years the festival has supported the Charles Paddock Zoo with more than $130,000, in contributions,” said Wine Festival committee chairperson Barbie Butz. “Every year the festival is growing with the addition of wineries, culinary presence and artists. This year will be the best festival ever and a tremendous experience for wine-lovers.”
Butz confirmed the Atascadero Lakeside Wine Festival will once again feature some of the best wines from 80 San Luis Obispo County wineries, an artist showcase as well as the live music by the popular Mighty Croon Dogs. Culinary offerings will also be available from a variety of local chefs. Each attendee will receive a commemorative wine glass. Shuttle service will be available throughout the Festival with route information found at www.AtascaderoWineFestival.com.
The Atascadero Lakeside Wine Festival is an annual celebration of the viticulture in the San Luis Obispo County Wine Region. Wine and food lovers are treated to a “Norman Rockwell” atmosphere during a casual afternoon of revelry unparalleled anywhere in San Luis Obispo County. |
