Judd’s Hill Winery is right off the Silverado Trail, a short drive from downtown Napa. The winding drive in is breathtaking as you pass the vineyards. It is a family and dog friendly tasting room that is relaxing, fun, hip and cool. So whether you are a serious wine connoisseur, or just looking to do some wine tasting, Judd’s Hill is a perfect winery to visit.

Their indoor tasting room is comfortable and intimate. There is a large table for guests to taste their current releases along with a selection of limited edition wines only available at the winery or through their wine club. It’s clean, modern and contemporary with lots of natural light, but small enough to enjoy a very private seated tasting. Artwork created by winery founder Art Finkelstein lines the walls and makes it feel very casual. As the season heats up, there are two patio areas for tastings which are set apart and shaded so you can take in their scenic grounds.  

Judd’s Hill is owned and operated by two generations of the Finkelstein family. While his parents Art and Bunnie founded the winery, Judd, along with his wife, Holly, are still dedicated to making premium handcrafted wines. Guests really feel the connection to a family run operation. Most days you can find Judd in the bottle blending camps or tasting rooms. Taking an intimate and personal approach to winemaking, they limit their annual production to less than 3,000 cases. Being a wine club member here has its advantages. If you are looking for a wine adventure, then sign up for their Bottle Blending Day Camp. There are several options available depending on how many finished bottles you would like to create. Guests will work with a Blending Guide to blend their perfect Bordeaux-style wine from four barrel samples (two Cabernet Sauvignons, one Merlot and one Cabernet Franc). Once you have decided on a final blend, you will get to hand bottle, cork and label your bottles. Your personally blended wine will be sent home with you the same day!
