Francis Ford Coppola Winery Park Now Offering Enhanced ‘Cabine’ Packages, Swim Classes and More Tasting Experiences

Francis Ford Coppola Winery opened their outdoor Winery Park for the 2012 season on March 30th. Francis Ford Coppola’s “Wine Wonderland” is open weekends only (Friday-Sunday) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and beginning Memorial Day weekend on May 25th, the park will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through September 30th. In October, the park will remain open on weekends, weather dependent.

This unique destination winery in Northern California’s Alexander Valley offers something enjoyable for people of all ages: a 3,600-square-foot swimming pool, private cabines (European-style personal changing rooms), a performing arts pavilion, bocce courts, gaming tables and two delicious dining options including RUSTIC, Francis’s Favorites and the Pool Cafe. With more than forty wines produced and available onsite, guests can tour the facility, visit Francis’s Movie Gallery and partake in various wine tasting experiences.

Among the new 2012 season offerings are enhanced cabine packages which may now be reserved in advance throughout the season. Day-long cabine packages, priced at $125 for General Admission and $100 for members of Francis Ford Coppola Winery’s Wine Family ($100 / $90 Monday-Thursday in June and September), include four pool passes, up to four lounge chairs, the use of four towels, two complimentary wine tasting flights plus two surprise tastes of exclusive wines and two Francis Ford Coppola Winery commemorative water bottles. Guest Reception associates will offer Winery Park visitors assistance with cabine rentals and will help to book tastings and tours, make reservations for RUSTIC, purchase limited daily pool passes and provide information on the current day’s schedule of activities. New for the 2012 season, guests can now sign up for early morning group and private swim class sessions throughout July and August.

Adding to the fun is a full calendar of unique tasting experiences. Tasting in the Dark is an adventurous two-hour wine tasting that explores how flavors and aromas in wine are accentuated when they are experienced in complete darkness. This sensory tasting experience will take place throughout the spring and summer on April 21, May 20, June 16, July 22 and August 11.
