Bring Out the Barrel: Good Wine Hunting

El Dorado Winery Association (EDWA) invites you to hunt for your next favorite wine during their annual Bring Out the Barrel event January 28 and 29, 2012.

Bring Out the Barrel is a self-guided tour of 27 wineries nestled in and around El Dorado Hills. During the event, wine lovers can explore new vintages at El Dorado’s finest wineries for the cost of a bottle of wine. You will be treated to a special preview of extraordinary wines with the opportunity to taste them straight from the barrel before they are blended or bottled. Each winery will be offering wine tastings, light hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to learn more about wine and winemaking.

As you’re discovering great wines, you can also be on the hunt for your ideal wine assortment as part of the Good Wine Hunting – Treasure Hunt. A drawing will be held after the event, and five winners will be selected to receive EDWA Passport tickets, a designated driver and gift baskets.

El Dorado’s family owned wineries are just a short drive from Sacramento or South Lake Tahoe, just off I-50 (Schnell School Road, Smith Flat, Carson Road and Camino Exits).

To purchase tickets for this event, go to www.eldoradowines.org. Only a limited number of tickets are available. For more information, contact El Dorado Winery Association at 1-800-306-3956.
