and Tasting Room
Ahhhhhhhh…….that could well be your first expression arriving at Bianchi Winery and Tasting room, located off the 101 freeway on Highway 46E in Paso Robles. Strolling up to the modern, expansive tasting room, you can’t help but feel a sense of relaxation as you observe the covered patio, lakeside deck, large koi pond (with its playful, hungry koi) and surrounding vineyards. If you have come to Paso Robles to experience the wines, relax and leave the outside world behind, then Bianchi will fill the bill for you.
Family Run, Family Pride
The Bianchi family winemaking history dates back to 1974, when father and son (Joseph and Glen) purchased a winery and vineyard in the Central Valley, and began their winemaking pursuits. In 2000, 40 acres were purchased in Paso Robles, on what has become the winery and vineyards. Today, the second and third generations of the family run the winery-with a sense of pride, heritage and hospitality. When the weather is perfect (as it is a majority of time), you will be hard pressed deciding whether to sit out on the patio or deck by the pond, or enjoy the hospitable tasting room, whether standing at the bar, or relaxing on the sofa. And, on a chill winter day, the fireplace is certainly a warm welcome to all who enter. Whatever you decide, the Bianchi family, and extended family winery staff, will give you a visit that is memorable, unhurried, and enhanced by the surrounding vistas.
Let the Tasting Begin
Winemaker Chris Stanton has over 20 years experience crafting award winning wines for wineries throughout California, from the Napa Valley down through the Central Coast. His selection of Bianchi wines are sure to please any palate. Depending on the wine, grapes may be sourced from premier vineyards in Monterey County, Santa Barbara County or Paso Robles, of course including an assortment of wines from Bianchi’s estate grown grapes.
Tastings will vary, but will always include your choice of five wines from a grouping of whites and reds (including Bianchi’s California Sparkling Brut, a most yummy bubbly). On weekends, there is an additional option to order their reserve tasting, an assortment of five elegant wines. A cheese and charcuterie platter is also available for purchase to enhance your personal wine and culinary experience.
