Benessere Vineyards is holding a Garage Sale on Saturday, June 9, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The winery welcomes the public to come and taste vintage wines, enjoy a live band and vintage car display, and have the catered lunch of your choice from a variety of food trucks: Chicago Style hot dogs, PHAT Salads & Wraps, Mark’s The Spot and Foxy Cupcakes. There will also be a raffle with coveted prizes. RSVP for $75 per person, $60 for Benessere’s wine club members, in advance (on the website or by calling 707-963-5853x107) or pay $80 at the door on the day of the event. The winery is located at 1010 Big Tree Road off Highway 29 in St. Helena, four miles north of downtown St. Helena.

Wine aficionados will enjoy a rare opportunity to taste well-cellared wines from the last decade and beyond, and buy their favorites while they last. Benessere Vineyards was founded in 1994 by John and Ellen Benish. Benessere (pronounced “beh-NESS-seh-ray”) means well-being in Italian, “reflecting the wholesome life we live in our charming corner of wine country,” says Jack Stuart. Current releases, also available at the event, are 2010 Pinot Grigio, 2011 Rosato, 2008 Sangiovese, 2007 Phenomenon, 2008 Black Glass Zinfandel and 2009 Holystone Collins Zinfandel.
